Real Madrid, Sevilla and Barcelona could end this weekend as La Liga leaders. Will Los Andaluces or Los Blaugranas edge Los Blancos?

The second half of La Liga's season will kick off on Friday, and things couldn't be tighter in the title race.

Despite their impressive first half of the season, where they only lost one game, Real Madrid only managed to obtain a two-point lead over Barcelona. With a game in hand and this week's matches to be played, Zidane's crew will try to keep a safe distance from their opponents. Their Copa del Rey elimination should benefit them, as their schedule will not be as tight as Los Blaugranas'.

Speaking about Luis Enrique's crew, their visit to Benito Villamarín Stadium could be quite difficult. Betis' new coach, Victor Sánchez del Amo, knows how to make things complicated for los Blaugranas, but this time, with an on-fire MSN attack, the green-and-white side will have to work overtime.

Did you know...? Barcelona has won eight out of the last nine matches the've played against Betis in all competitions.

Later that day, Real Madrid will try to pick up the pieces from their Copa del Rey elimination. Their match against Real Sociedad could be quite complicated, and Zidan will have to appeal to all his magic to emerge victorious in one of the most complicated moments since he took over as Los Blancos boss. Will the Basque side shock Real Madrid and make their crisis even harder to overcome?

Did you know...? The Txuri-urdin haven't defeated Los Blancos at the Bernabéu since the 2003-2004 season, when they walked away from the Spanish capital with a 4-1 win.

Real Madrid still leads the pack after the first round of games, but dropping points at home this week could see them fall down the standings if Barcelona and Sevilla win their matches.
