Eighteen minutes after kick-off, five of Guardiola's players were on the scoresheet.

After losing 3-2 to Norwich, Man City were eager to bounce back in the Premier League in their clash with Watford and the reigning champions wasted no time in showing they meant business.

While the Hornets weren't expected to come away with a result, being the last-placed team in the English top-flight, none expected the Citizens to obliterate their opposition so early. It took Guardiola's men only a minute to break the deadlock. Within 10, they were 2-0 up.

After eighteen minutes, Man City were 5-0 up – yes, 5-0! Five different players got their name on the scoresheet, David Silva being the first. Sergio Aguero converted a penalty to double their lead, with Mahrez, the other Silva, and Otamendi soon finding the back of the net.

This set a Premier League record. Never before have a team gone 5-0 up quicker than this Man City side. Check out the best tweets to this impressive feat below.

This game will also go down as a memorable 90 minutes for Sergio Aguero. He set up fellow Argentine Otamendi for the fifth goal but it was his seventh-minute strike that saw him reach an excellent feat.

That goal was his 100th strike at the Etihad Stadium, becoming only one of three players to score a century of goals at a single venue in the Premier League. The other two are Thierry Henry (114 at Highbury) and Wayne Rooney (101 at Old Trafford.
