Manchester City has dodged a massive bullet in FIFA's probe regarding illegal transfer activity with players under the age of 18.
In a brief press release, football's governing body revealed that the English Premier League champions did breach Article 19 of the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players. Even so, Manchester City's admission of guilt has been taken under consideration by the Disciplinary Board, which will force the team to pay a fine of €339,000 (some $380,000).
Manchester City was being investigated on the same charges that ended with Chelsea's transfer ban back in February, but the Blues failed to admit their guilt, which resulted in the two window transfer ban for the London-based side.
There were fears among Manchester City execs of a UEFA Champions League ban, but this ruling dismisses such claims.
