The case will come to a conclusion after Kathryn Mayorga accused the footballer of raping her ten years ago.

Cristiano Ronaldo has seen his name been cleared of all charges in the alleged rape of Kathryn Mayorga. A spokesman of the Clark County DA's office has revealed that the footballer will no longer be prosecuted by a U.S. court of law, since the charges cannot be proven.

Both CR7 and Ms. Mayorga agree on the fact that they met at a night club in Las Vegas on June 13, 2009. Mayorga stated that Ronaldo took her to her penthouse, where he sexually abused her. The Portuguese ace denied such claims by stating that all physical exchanges were consensual in nature.

Today, the aforementioned District Attorney's office has made a ruling on this matter, which clear CR7's name on the spot.

"A request for Prosecution was submitted to the District Attorney's Office on July 8, 2019. Based upon a review of the information presented at this time, the allegations of sexual assault against Cristiano Ronaldo cannot be proven beyond a reasonable doubt. Therefore, no charges will be forthcoming," the DA's office spokesman said.

The DA's office also hinted that Mayorga's refusal to identify her assailant when things allegedly took place resulted in the office's inability to conduct a proper investigation.

Ms. Mayorga has filed a civil lawsuit against Cristiano Ronaldo for allegedly using "fixers" to force her to sign a non-disclosure agreement when the incident allegedly took place in 2009.

The DA's office went on to detail how a proper investigation would have been possible if the proper accusation was made immediately.

"Without knowing the identity of the perpetrator or the location of the crime, detectives were unable to search for and impound vital forensic evidence. In addition, video evidence, showing interactions between the victim and perpetrator before and after the alleged crime, was lost," the DA's office spokesman added.

The 34-year-old footballer faced quite a bit of backlash when this accusations emerged in July 2018, days after CR7's move to Juventus was confirmed.
