The 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup is set to kick off soon, and Live Soccer TV is on hand to provide all the info you need to follow your favorite teams throughout the tournament.

With the men's edition done and dusted and France being crowned champions of the world last summer in Russia, fans of the World Cup will have another chance to see the much-enjoyed quadrennial tournament when the ladies take to the pitch in France this summer. Will the women's side be able to emulate their male counterparts and clinch the coveted title? If so, France will make history as the first team to complete this feat, but there will be 23 other sides, including perennial winners United States looking to deny them the opportunity to win the World Cup on home soil.

When does the 2019 Women's World Cup start?

The eighth edition of the tournament will begin on June 7th and will conclude on July 7th.

Which teams are playing in the 2019 Women's World Cup?

In addition to hosts France and reigning champions United States, here are the 22 other teams who will be featuring in the eighth Women's World Cup this June:

  • Argentina
  • Australia
  • Brazil
  • Cameroon
  • Canada
  • Chile
  • China
  • England
  • Germany
  • Italy
  • Jamaica
  • Japan
  • Netherlands
  • New Zealand
  • Nigeria
  • Norway
  • Scotland
  • South Africa
  • South Korea
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Thailand

Chile, Jamaica, Scotland, and South Africa are the four sides making their debut this summer. Meanwhile, Brazil, Germany, Japan, Norway, Sweden, and the United States are featuring in their eighth straight tournament. This quintet are the only teams to have played in all Women's World Cups since the inception of the competition in 1991.

Who are the current champions?

The United States are the current champions after beating Japan 5-2 in the 2015 final in Canada. With three titles, the Stars and Stripes are the most successful side in the Women's World Cup but have never won back-to-back trophies. Only Germany, who won it in 2003 and 2007, has managed to achieve this impressive feat, and Japan made history as the first Asian team to win a World Cup when they pulled off a shock upset to beat the USWNT 3-1 on spot-kicks.

Meanwhile, Norway, who are the only other side to win a Women's World Cup, will be hoping to get their hands on the trophy for the first time since 1995.

FuboTV is a great choice as you can use it whether you prefer to view the game in English or Spanish.

Canada

TV: TSN will provide coverage of all games taking place at this summer's tournament - in English. French-speakers can view the games via RDS, which will be showing all the matches from start to finish. Meanwhile, CTV will only be showing the Canadian national team's games - so Team Canada supporters will naturally hope that the squad will go far in France this summer!
