Alvaro Morata's exit a 'done deal' as Higuain nears Chelsea arrival

Alvaro Morata's Chelsea nightmare is close to an end. After weeks and weeks of speculation, the Spaniard is now on the edge of leaving the London giant.

In fact, according to Sky Sports' Fabrizio Romano, a deal has been agreed. He claims that the 26-year-old will be returning to La Liga where he will join Atletico Madrid.

Despite joining Chelsea from Real Madrid, the Spaniard is now set to join Los Blancos' city rival where he will hope to resurrect his career.  Morata will join the likes of Diego Costa and Antoine Griezmann and will hope to hit the ground running once his Wanda Metropolitano switch is made official.

As for Sarri's crew, they are gearing up for Gonzalo Higuain's inevitable arrival. When asked about the Argentine, Romano responded on Twitter with: "Higuain will be a Chelsea player 101%."

The South American ace will reunite with Sarri, whom he enjoyed a wonderful spell with at Napoli. This loan deal is Chelsea's plan to solve their current crisis in attack.

With both Morata and Giroud failing to make the grade under the new Italian boss, the Premier League giant has lacked a target man in their lineup. This was evident for all to see in their recent defeat to Arsenal which has now put their top-four odds under threat.
