Transfer Talk: Real Madrid considering to make shock bid for Tottenham ace

Just when fans and experts believed that Real Madrid had ceased in their efforts to add talent to the team's offensive unit, a report by Catalan newspaper Sport has brought the light on the possibility of an interesting deal for Los Merengues.

As per the Catalan media outlet, Real Madrid are reported to have begun talks to hire one of the hottest strikers in the Premier League, with their mind set on making their fans forget about the botched deal for Kylian Mbappé. The name of the footballer in question is none other than Son Heung-Min.

This would not be the first time in which Los Merengues enter negotiations with Spurs, as they succeeded in their attempts to hire Luka Modric and Gareth Bale a few years back. On the contrary, their attempts to sign midfielder Christian Eriksen were unsuccessful, leading the Danish player to leave the club and join Inter Milan a couple of years back.

Son Heung-Min would fit the bill just fine with Los Blancos, as he is capable to play all attacking positions. Added to that, his goalscoring instincts would add depth to a unit led by Karim Benzema, who has formed a deadly duo with Brazilian ace Vinicius.

The arrival of the South Korean player would come in handy to fill the right wing, where Los Merengues have tested Marco Asensio, Rodrygo, Fede Valverde and even Vinicius, but neither one has been able to establish themselves as a regular starter. On top of that, Vinicius has made the left flank his own, forcing coach Carlo Ancelotti to find other alternatives.

If Real Madrid are indeed interested in hiring the footballer, the team will find a couple of setbacks in their attempts to sign the winner of the EPL Golden Boot. First off, the team's lack of interest in parting ways with him, and the second one being a potential asking price. So far, Spurs' valuation of Son Heung-Min has been established at $79M, but with Spurs' chairman Daniel Levy handling all negotiations, it seems that the real number could go over the $100M mark.
