The Polish striker had an amazing season with Bayern München and football's governing body in Europe was sure to acknowledge that.

Bayern München had a season to remember, and one particular member of their squad will have even more reasons to celebrate their feats with a couple of individual trophies.

That man is none other than Robert Lewandowski, who was crowned as the Best Striker for the 2019-20 UEFA Champions League. If that was not enough reason for him to celebrate, the footballer became the first Polish footballer to claim the UEFA Men's Player of the Year award in the same ceremony.

The former Borussia Dortmund also became the first striker to win a treble with his team and on the goalscoring department, as the following numbers show.

Lewandowski shared an insight on his accomplishments during his appearance at the ceremony.

"When I was young I was always dreaming to play in the big stadiums, to be at the biggest club in the world. Now on this stage, I have to say it's a dream come true!" Lewandowski stated.

Bayern steals the show with near sweep of individual trophies

With the exception of the Best Midfielder category, Bayern took home four of five individual trophies handed out by UEFA in the Champions League gala celebrated today. Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne was the only non-Bayern player to take silverware home today.
