Marcus Rashford has given his verdict on Jadon Sancho to excite Manchester United fans amid his compatriot's rumored move to Old Trafford. The 22-year-old striker declared that the Borussia Dortmund star would fit right in at Manchester United after being asked about his club's interest in securing the service of the former Manchester City academy star.
Sancho has been identified as a priority signing for Manchester United this summer and Ole Gunnar Solakjaer's side is believed to be front-runners in pursuit of the England sensation. Earlier this week, a report revealed that the Red Devils had initiated contact with the representatives of the winger whereas Dortmund had also slapped a $110 million price-tag on the player.
Once again, the England international has had a remarkable season in the German Bundesliga as he managed 14 goals and 16 assists prior to the suspension of the league amid the coronavirus crisis. Addressing his followers in a Q&A session on Instagram Live, the international teammate of the Dortmund star Marcus Rashford admitted that he would fancy his arrival at Old Trafford this summer and retained hope of playing together with him at the club level.
"It would be good, Sancho's a great player and he's like a new generation player," he said.
"It's definitely exciting to watch him become the player he's becoming. Hopefully, we can all play together, that would be good.
"He plays off the cuff, he's creative and imaginative, these are the things you need to be world-class."
So far, Manchester United's attacking pair of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial has stepped up and scored 35 goals across all competition. However, Solskjaer is still said to be looking at reinforcing the front line and Sancho's arrival has been touted as one of the prospective outcomes.
Meanwhile, current European champions Liverpool have reportedly dropped out of the race for Sancho due to the rumored $110 million transfer fee said to have been quoted by Borussia Dortmund. Relatively, Premier League rivals Chelsea is expected to enter a battle with Manchester United for the 20-year-old winger with players like Willian and Pedro becoming free agents in the summer.
