The Borussia Dortmund teenager was on fire in Tuesday night's European cup tie.

Borussia Dortmund sensational Erling Haaland has entered the UEFA Champions League's history books once again for his goals against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday. The 19-year-old striker scored both goals in the 2-1 victory to hand his side the advantage ahead of the second-leg clash in France.

Football fans should not be taken aback anymore given the frequency with which Haaland finds the back of the net with each passing matchday. However, to do so against some of European football's top-guns at the age of just 19 years quite endorses the narrative of him being a freak of nature.

Against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, the striker gave fans of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United, more reason to bite their fingernails for passing on the opportunity to secure his service. In the slow starter which ultimately caught fire at the end, the ex-RB Salsburg star stood tall in the presence of Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappe.

In essence, Haaland scored the game's opener and the eventual winner to become the first-ever player to score goals for two different teams in the same Champions League season following his exploits at Salzburg. That withstanding, his 10-goal tally in seven appearances earned him a spot beside Just Fontaine, Claudio Sulser, Sadio Mané and Roberto Firmino as the only players to have scored 10 ore more 10 goals in their first season in the European Cup or Champions League. He is the fastest to have achieve the tally among the lot.

A genuine goal machine that he is and as the first teenager after Kylian Mbappe to score 10 goals in the European competition, Erling Haaland is now tied with Robert Lewandowski as this campaign's top goalscorer. So far, the 19-year-old striker has scored 39 goals in 28 outings with 11 coming in seven appearances for Borussia Dortmund.

The match against Paris Saint-Germain also saw the son of Manchester City legend Alf Inge Haaland reaching a milestone of 100 senior club-career games. In that, he has scored 60 goals of which eight are hat-tricks.
