The Red Devils icon gave his honest thoughts on whether Klopp's side are a great one.

All eyes are on the Liverpool vs Man United clash in the Premier League, as England’s two most successful teams are set to reignite their bitter rivalry on Sunday.

Speaking ahead of the Anfield showdown, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted to being unsure whether Klopp’s side are a great team that will go down in history. One Red Devils icon gave his thoughts on this matter, trolling the Premier League leaders.

That man is none other than Roy Keane, the brutally honest and unapologetic legend. The Irishman weighed in on the Man United coach’s remark, insisting that he agrees with the Norwegian boss.

The former midfielder turned Sky Sports pundit confessed that Liverpool have been brilliant. Despite this, Keane argues that people are getting carried away over a team set to win their first league title in the Premier League era.

"They [Liverpool] have been brilliant in Europe over the past few years," he began.

"And everyone's been getting carried away with them because they’ve been so brilliant.

"But this will be their first league title. You've got to win a few league titles first."

Souness attempted to defend the Reds, pointing how close they came to winning the English top-flight last season and the Champions League in 2018. This interruption, however, prompted a savage response from Keane

"Close? You said they finished second,” the Irishman cut in.

“It doesn't matter how many points you get you finished second. Do me a favor! What do you get for finishing second? A pat on the back!"

Despite this, there is no arguing that Liverpool are a greater team than Man Utd at the moment. Van Dijk and Co. sit a whopping 27 points ahead of the Red Devils heading into the Anfield clash.
