Goalkeeper Franco Armani gave Los Millonarios a chance to defend their title by conceding only once against Boca Juniors.

For the second year in a row, River Plate made the most out of their Copa Libertadores clash against Boca Juniors and made their way into the tournament's final.

This is the third Superclásico win for River Plate with Marcelo Gallardo at the helm, but as influential as their coach may be, tonight's win had one hero: Franco Armani.

The goalkeeper was quite accurate when it came to keep Boca's shots or headers out, especially during a couple of defensive mishaps by his team-mates, which included keeping a failed deflection by Enzo Pérez out of his net, which you will be able to watch below (Image might be geo-restricted).

When the game approached its end, Armani stepped up once again to save the team. A free kick by Mac Allister came close to make its way into River's net, but Armani kept it away to save the one-goal lead. Here's the crucial save by Armani (Image might be geo-restricted).

Now, River Plate will face Flamengo or Gremio as they look for their second Copa Libertadores title in a row. As for Boca Juniors, the time to lick their wounds has come once again, and the team could be in line for a face lift after one more disappointment against their bitte rivals.
