Liga MX: Querétaro calls the shots in Liga MX after Santos' loss

A quarter of the Apertura 2019 has gone by, and Querétaro can calls themselves as the new leader of the competition. Santos' loss against Necaxa handed Los Gallos a chance to leapfrog them at the top, and only América's unbeaten form prevents them from being the sole owners of the top spot in the Mexican top-flight.

Unfortunately, two coaches lost their jobs this weekend. José Luis Sánchez Solá and Javier Torrente were fired by Puebla and Morelia, respectively. Their replacements should be unveiled in the next few days.

In other news, Enrique Meza's Veracruz seems to be destined to establish an unwanted record. The Red Sharks have gone 31 games without a win, and if things keep their current pace, the veteran boss could be given the boot in just seven days.

Without further ado, here's how things went down during the weekend that just concluded in the Mexican top-flight.
