Bavarian execs shared details of the transfer that will see the Brazilian flop join the Bundesliga side.

The only thing that prevents Bayern from making the loan deal between themselves and Barcelona for Philippe Coutinho's services is the player's medical examination.

Following the Bavarian's 2-2 draw on Friday against Hertha Berlin, team president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Sports Director Hasan Salihamidzic shared details on Coutinho's arrival to Allianz Arena, and how there are only minor details to be sorted out before both parties can call it a loan deal.

Rummenigge even hinted that both teams entered the final stages of the negotiation in the past few days.

"I can confirm that Hasan [Salihamidzic] and I were in Barcelona last Wednesday and reached agreement with FC Barcelona and the player. We've watched Coutinho for quite some time. The name doesn't matter, only the quality," Rummenigge.

The player was left out of Barcelona's La Liga debut on Friday, which concluded in a one-nil loss for Los Culés. Such a gesture was a hint of Coutinho's inminent transfer, something that Sports Director Hasan Salihamidzic was glad to praise. Furthermore, Barcelona's disposition to negotiate was something the Bosnian exec welcomed.

"I'd like to thank FC Barcelona. Obviously we still have to finalise a few details, but we're delighted to be bringing this player to FC Bayern," Salihamidzic added.

Coutinho played over 70 games for Los Culés, but his status as the most expensive transfer in team history was too much pressure for him to handle.

While neither one of the teams involved in this negotiation have revealed the loan fee Bayern will pay Barcelona, a report by Bild states that Die Roten managed to add a buyout clause in Coutinho's deal, similar to the one they had to sign James Rodríguez during his loan spell with the German giants.
