The deal is intended to make Mbappé the cornerstone of the team's project in years to come after the failed Neymar experiment.

PSG may be getting ready to ship Neymar away from Parc des Princes, but Kylian Mbappé's future with the club will not follow the same path.

The French superstar may be getting closer to a new deal with Les Parisiens, which is intended to end all transfer speculation surrounding the 20-year-old footballer.

According to a report by The Sun, PSG's owners are ready to offer Mbappé a whopping $1.06M weekly, which would take his wage to over $55M per season.

The reason to see PSG making an offer of this sort is none other than the recent interest shown by Manchester City in the player's services. Reports coming in from England suggest that the Citizens want to make Mbappé their main asset.

Mbappé has also been linked to Real Madrid for the better part of 2019, but the Spanish club does not want to damage their good relationship with their French counterparts by trying to negotiate a deal. Earlier this summer, the club vowed that all dealings between Los Blancos and the current Ligue 1 holders would be held on the appropriate channels.
