Die Roten's unsuccessful attempt to sign Manchester City's footballer has forced the German champions to execute Plan B.

Bayern München is determined to add more talent to their squad, especially after the departures of some of their beloved players.

Following the exits of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, Bayern had targeted Leroy Sane as their main transfer target to replace one of those footballers, but given their inability to pay over $85M for the German's services, Die Roten have decided to start working on a more feasible option, being none other than Barcelona's Ousmane Dembelé the man they want to fill the void left by the aforementioned players.

Dembelé would make a shocking return to the Bundesliga after a two-year spell with Los Blaugranas. He has failed to make a lasting impression at Camp Nou despite several opportunities to do so. A return to the German top flight would not be seen as a step backwards by the player's inner circle, according to the report issued by Sport Bild.

Negotiations will not develop any further until a decision is made on Sane's availability. Nevertheless, Dembelé's transfer would also keep the rivalry between Bayern and Borussia Dortmund on the same terms, given Dembelé's previous years with the yellow and black side.
