Mourinho piles up the pressure against Klopp over potential UCL loss

The Special One did not hold back when judging what life would be for Klopp if the Reds lost one more Champions League final with him at the helm.

Jose Mourinho is yet to announce where he will continue his coaching career, and while he does it, he is still having fun as a pundit.

The Special One has found a rather repetitive target when shared his views on the UEFA Champions League, and that is none other than Jurgen Klopp.

This time, the Portuguese boss referred to Klopp's unlucky appearances in the tournament's final, where he has lost the 2013 and 2018 finals against Bayern and Real Madrid, respectively. This time, Klopp will have to deal with those "ghosts" if he wants to avoid more criticism.

"If Jurgen wins, it's an incredible achievement for him. If Jurgen doesn't win, you know...to lose three Champions League finals...that has to be really, really hard," Mourinho said in a TV show.

Mourinho referred to the feelings a coach experiences when entering such a big game, and how Klopp's general demeanor could be decisive to the outcome of the game.

"Being a manager, and understanding what it means for a manager to play a Champions League final, there is always a negative side of it, and the negative side is that one team will lose and one manager will lose. But Jurgen is a very positive guy, I'm sure he's just thinking about winning," Mourinho added.

The former Chelsea and Manchester United boss went on to talk about Tottenham, and what winning this title would do to the team's history and Pochettino's legacy at Spurs.

"Spurs are not winning titles and to win the first one would be fantastic, it could lead to other domestic trophies, because the Champions League is the biggest one of all,"Mourinho said.

Last, but not least, Mourinho urged both managers to do everything in their power to win this title.

"Finals are not to be played, finals are to win," Mourinho concluded.
