The design has been met with praise by fans and experts, while the new deal is set to break all existing records in world football

Real Madrid may not have been successful on the pitch this year, but their success away from the stadiums can't be questioned with this new deal.

The long-standing relationship between Real Madrid and the German kit manufacturer Adidas is set to be extended for the next twelve years, as both entities are ready to put pen to paper to a staggering new deal.

Sources consulted by Marca revealed that the new deal will be signed before the end of the current season. When that happens, Real Madrid will sign the most lucrative deal of all time for a football kit, with Adidas agreeing to pay the Spanish giants $1.8 billion for the next 12 years (around $135M per season).

The agreement between the Spanish side and the German brand will also benefit the team's youth categories and the other disciplines in which Los Blancos are involved, such as basketball.
