Chelsea and Leicester City will battle it out for the FA Cup trophy on Saturday, May 15th. Which side will win?

Preview: Chelsea vs Leicester City

The 140th FA Cup will get underway this Saturday as Chelsea and Leicester City prepare to lock horns at Wembley Stadium. On one side will be a team who'll be hoping this will be the first of two potential trophies to be won this month, whereas on the other side, a team will be aiming to finally get their hands on a trophy that has eluded them for over 50 years.

For Leicester City, the Foxes will be hoping to win their first piece of silverware since their historic 2015/2016 Premier League title triumph under Claudio Ranieri. Should the Foxes win on Saturday, it'd be their first ever FA Cup title, and Brendan Rodgers's first trophy with the club. This will be Leicester's first FA Cup final since 1969, when they lost 1-0 to Manchester City. It was thanks to Kelechi Iheanacho's goal that gave the Foxes a slim 1-0 win over Southampton in the semi-finals back in April and now, they'll be hoping to get one over on a Chelsea side that they'll be facing again in a few days in league action.

Indeed, just two points separate the Foxes and the Blues in the Premier League table heading into this contest, and they'll be set to renew acquaintances on May 18th at Stamford Bridge. Leicester presently sit in third place on 66 points, with three wins from their last five, while Chelsea are just two points back in fourth spot.

The Blues were rather unfortunate to see their three game winning streak as they suffered a 1-0 reversal to London rivals Arsenal recently, but Thomas Tuchel's side will certainly move on quickly from that negative outcome as they have more important matters coming up - including two important clashes with Leicester over the next few days. And that's not to mention, of course, their showdown with Manchester City at the end of this month in a mouth-watering all-English affair in Porto.

For now, though, trying to win this weekend's FA Cup final will be the order of the day for both sides. Leicester, unfortunately, don't have the best track record at Wembley, where they've won just four of their last 15 games at this ground (with losses in ten of those), but they have already beaten Chelsea 2-0 in their earlier league meeting this term.

Will Leicester, back in the FA Cup final after 52 years, finally get their hands on the coveted prize? Or will Chelsea head into this year's Champions League final having won their ninth FA Cup?
