The England international was amiss when his side hosted Newcastle on Sunday.

Dele Alli's reported exit from Tottenham Hotspur is increasingly looking likely following his omission from the matchday squad for Sunday's Premier League encounter. The 24-year-old midfielder was dropped from the side that took on Newcastle at the Tottenham Stadium, having failed to make an appearance in last week's big win over Southampton.

The England international has had just a single opportunity to feature in the Premier League this season. His chance came in the 1-0 defeat to Everton in the season opener where he was substituted at half time by manager Jose Mourinho following an underwhelming showing. The player has since been unable to make the bench in the league, although he played for 60 minutes in last Thursday's UEFA Europa League qualifying clash with Shkendija.

Meanwhile, there were rumors of an apparent fallout between Dele Alli and Jose Mourinho but the claims have recently been refuted by the latter. Nevertheless, the English midfielder now seems out of favor at Spurs and the club is said to be open to sanctioning his sale before the summer transfer window closes.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the former MK Dons starlet has been offered to a number of clubs in recent weeks. Real Madrid was among the lot but refused to take him on board as part of the deal that saw Gareth Bale sealing a loan move to Spurs. Meanwhile, Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain are said to be exploring the possibility of signing the attacking midfielder.
