Bad news for Barcelona fans that wanted to see Lionel Messi dominating Inter's defense, as the player has been left out of the last UEFA Champions League Group Stage clash between Los Culés and the nerazzurri by coach Ernesto Valverde.
Rumors about Messi's absence picked up speed in Sunday's earlier hours, but those reports became a reality this morning when the team's Twitter feed revealed the names of the players that would make the trip to Milan. Messi's absence was the most notable omission, but there are other names that were also left out of the sixth match of the season for the Blaugrana giants, such as Sergi Roberto and Gerard Piqué.
Added to their absences, Valverde won't be able to use Ousmané Dembelé, Nelson Semedo, Jordi Alba or Arthur, all of them out due to injuries.

The Spanish side has already secured their spot in the next round of the competition, while Inter needs a win to make it to the last 16.
