Los Blancos have released a statement informing about the situation of two key members of Zidane's squad.

Real Madrid's injury woes continue, and this time they have the "FIFA Virus" to pin the blame on.

The team seemed to have escaped a fresh injury concern, but those thoughts were slammed to the floor earlier today, as Lucas Vázquez and Luka Modric have both been ruled out for the team's upcoming La Liga clash against Mallorca.

Modric has been deemed unavailable for next weekend's game due to an injury to his right leg. The team's physio admitted that Modric could be around for the game against Mallorca, but since Los Blancos have two crucial games against Galatasaray and Barcelona, the Croatian ace will be left out of the trip to Mallorca.

On the other hand, Lucas Vázquez picked up a calf injury during the team's training sessions, and while Real Madrid has not made an official announcement on his availability, the fact that he's missed two training sessions in a row drops a hint on whether he will make the squad to face Mallorca.

If that was not enough, Gareth Bale may also join the list of absences, as he will be assessed when he returns from International duty. Bale picked up a hard knock during Wales' game against Croatia, and his availability will be determined once he makes it back to the team's training complex.
