In these worrying times for Solskjaer, he will be without yet another key player.

A week remains before Man United will host Liverpool in the Premier League. Despite this, the Red Devils are already facing a huge blow for next Sunday’s game as they look to be without one key man for that highly-anticipated game.

According to the Daily Mail, that man is none other than Paul Pogba. The Frenchman, who was not called up to the national team for the current international break, is suffering from a foot injury and as stated in the report, he will not recover in time for their next Premier League game.

The former Juventus man is currently in Dubai working on his fitness but given the fact that he is still wearing a protective cast on his right foot, time is not on his side. Furthermore, it is being speculated that Pogba could be sidelined for the rest of October.

The 26-year-old will return to his club next week for further tests to determine whether he will feature in the Old Trafford clash. If the rumors are true and Paul will be out for the rest of the month, he would miss up to four games including a Europa League clash with Partizan, a trip to Norwich, and the Carabao Cup showdown with Chelsea.

The clash with Jurgen Klopp’s side is the biggest test, however. The Red Devils have been nothing but atrocious this season and now sit in 12th spot, only two points above the relegation zone with just two wins from their opening eight games.

Solskjaer has come under heavy scrutiny and despite it not yet being a full year since he was given the permanent job, many fans are calling for his sacking. Injuries have not been on Ole’s side and in these tough times, the Norwegian boss might not be able to count on Pogba’s services.
