The German midfielder has turned down moves from a host of top European clubs to stay in the Bundesliga.

PSG, Juventus, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt a blow with Bayer Leverkusen's Julian Brandt set to complete a move to Borussia Dortmund. The 23-year-old who's future has been a subject of speculation in recent weeks will reportedly have his medical with Der BVB later this week.

Brandt has been hailed as one of Germany's finest talents at the moment and has attracted a lot of attention after finishing the Bundesliga season with seven goals and 11 assists in 33 appearances. The midfielder earlier suggested that he could stay with Bayer Leverkusen should they qualify for the Champions League.

However, despite Peter Bosz's side pulling off the feat, the German international looks set for a move to the Westfalenstadion. According to German publication Bild, Dortmund will trigger the €25 million release clause in Brandt's contract, and offer the midfielder an annual salary of €8 million. The 23-year-old is believed to have informed his friends of his impending switch ahead of a vacation in Barcelona on Monday night.

Meanwhile, Brandts move will be the second in the matter of days for Borussia Dortmund since the transfer window was officially opened. The 2018/2019 Bundesliga runners-up have already completed the signing of Nico Schulz from Hoffenheim and are also on the verge of adding rivals Borussia Mönchengladbach's Thorgan Hazard in the coming days.
