The German Bundesliga returns this weekend, with Borussia Dortmund in pole position to end Bayern's dominance in the past few years.
One of the key members of Lucien Favre's squad this year has been, without a doubt, captain Marco Reus. The blonde footballer has scored fourteen goals in 24 matches for the yellow and black side, with 11 of those coming in Bundesliga games. The captain shared his views on how the title is theirs to lose if they don't find the way to keep their current lead atop of the Bundesliga.
"Everything is in our hands. We have to face all remaining games like we did during the first half of the season. If we can do that, no one will be able to take the title away from us," Reus stated.
Some former Borussia Dortmund players have been harshly criticized for leaving the club to join bitter rivals Bayen München. In the interview, Reus dismissed the idea of joining that list in the near future.
"I can promise you this: you will never see me playing for Bayern München. Besides, I'm almost 30, and they are trying to bring some young blood into the squad, so that will never happen,"Reus added.
The current Bundesliga leaders take the field later today against RB Leipzig. Lucien Favre's side has a three-point lead over Bayern, which forces them to beat Leipzig if they want to keep a safe distance in the Bundesliga title race.
