After winning their first game of the season, Juventus will hope to use that as positive momentum to try to earn a positive result against familiar foes AC Milan.

Preview: Juventus vs AC Milan

It's safe to say that both Juventus and AC Milan have had vastly different starts to their respective 2021/22 seasons. For the Bianconeri, their Serie A campaign has been nothing but a disaster, and heading into matchday four, Massimiliano Allegri's men have picked up just one point from their first three games. As such, that leaves La Vecchia Signora closer to the drop zone than near competing for the Scudetto, albeit the season is still very young and much can happen between now and May.

As for Milan, the Rossoneri have been going from strength to strength. They've won their first three games, and are only behind Roma due to the Giallorossi having a better goal difference. After missing out on the Scudetto last season to cross-town rivals Inter, Stefano Pioli's troops will be determined to do one better this time around as they again seek to continue their rebuilding process and re-establish themselves among the elite sides in Italy.

However, Juventus did see an improvement in their fortunes in the Champions League, where they cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win over Scandinavian side Malmo. It was exactly the boost Allegri's side needed ahead of this clash. Milan, on the other hand, came out on the losing end during a five goal thriller against Liverpool. It's the first time the Diavolo are taking part in the Champions League since 2013/2014, but Pioli will hope that this setback won't derail his team's efforts in Serie A.

It will be a very interesting game for Allegri, as he was the man in charge the last time Milan won the Scudetto - which was ten years ago. Will he be able to mastermind a victory over the high-flying Rossoneri, or will Milan heap more misery on the struggling La Vecchia Signora and bring them crashing back down to earth?
