After defeating Colombia 4-0 on Monday, the USWNT will conclude January Camp by taking the pitch at Exploria Stadium on Friday to face las Cafeteras once again at 7 p.m. ET.

The setting, kickoff time and COVID-19 restrictions will remain the same. However, U.S. Women’s National Team fans will be able to catch all the action by tuning into ESPN2’s broadcast.

The USWNT enjoyed a 4-0 win with sisters Sam and Kristie Mewis taking care of all the scoring. Sam, who plays for Manchester City, scored a perfect hattrick after just 46 minutes, striking the first goal with her left foot, the second with her head and a penalty with her right foot. Then came her older sister Kristie, who has been a revelation for NWSL’s Houston Dash and now the national team, scoring a goal in the final 10 minutes of the match to seal the deal.

As for Colombia, they fended off the Americans as best as they could after being deprived of four players due to COVID-19 contact tracing after a staff member tested positive on arrival to Orlando. As a result, head coach Nelson Abadia gave young players a go against the world’s best team. Midfielder Jorelyn Andrea Carabali Martinez was one of those young players who was given a chance on Monday. Despite being a natural midfielder, she made her national team debut as a center back.

Team news

USWNT

The USWNT left-out goalkeepers Aubrey Bledsoe and Ashlyn Harris, defenders Alana Cook, Tierna Davidson, Emily Fox and Ali Krieger, midfielders Jaelin Howell and Andi Sullivan, and forward Mallory Pugh.

Head coach Vlatko Andonovski confirmed that Pugh picked up an injury and has been rehabbing since, which explains her absence from game 1.

Goalkeeper Jane Campbell and forward Sophia Smith were the only two players that made the game 1 roster but did not register minutes.

All eyes are on Andonovski and his next roster drop that should be released shortly before the start of the game. Will he introduce those players that did not feature in the squad for game 1 a chance this time around?

Colombia

Veterans Diana Ospina, Carolina Arias and Daniela Montoya were three of the players who had to sit out. However, they have tested negative since and might gear up for Friday’s match. On the other hand, center back Ana Gabriela Huertas was omitted from the squad after receiving mixed COVID-19 test results. As a result, an antibodies test will decide whether she will be available on Friday or not.

How to watch USWNT vs. Colombia game 2?

The game will be available on ESPN2 for those interested in watching the game from the United States. As for Seleccion Colombia fans, the game will be available on Gol Caracol HD2.
