What is the form of Arsenal compared to Everton?

Arsenal head into this tie on the back of a two-game winning streak, smashing four past Newcastle in their last league outing before beating Olympiakos 1-0 in the Europa League. The Gunners are yet to lose a game in 2020, playing nine games, winning five, and drawing four.

Everton, meanwhile, kicked off the year with back-to-back defeats, but those losses came at the hands of Man City and Liverpool. The Toffees have won their last two matches as well and sit two points ahead of the Gunners in the standings.

Team news

Arsenal will welcome back a few key names who missed out on the Olympiakos trip. Mesut Ozil is one of those men, having missed out on that Europa League clash for personal reasons. However, he is back for this game, which could be crucial, as it is a home match.

Nicolas Pepe is also due back. The Ivorian was the Man of the Match against Newcastle and should be ready to put in another impressive display. Lucas Torreira, however, might not make the starting lineup due to illness but is expected to be on the bench.

As for the away side, Fabian Delph has served his one-match suspension and should be back. Former Arsenal man Theo Walcott, however, looks to miss out on a return to the Emirates Stadium due to injury but Alex Iwobi should make the squad in his first season since leaving north London for Merseyside.
