The 2019-20 Primeira Liga season will have its final matchday of 2019, just when Benfica seems to be opening up a gap between themselves and Porto for the top spot.
The league leaders will face Famalicao, a team that seems to be losing the fuel that led them to top the league during the first weeks of the competition. Benfica may seem like the favorites to win, but the league minnows have proven that they can wreak havoc among opponents' defenders.
There will be some interesting games taking place on Sunday, two teams of the so-called "Big Three" will play their last games of 2019 on Monday. Porto will host Tondela at the Do Dragao, while Sporting will face the ailing Santa Clara. Both games should provide a proper end for the year, with much to play for in 2020.

Benfica's boss Bruno Lage admitted that, even if the Eagles seem to be heavy favorites when they host Famalicao on Saturday's clash, the most surprising team of the season should not be left for dead despite their two-game losing streak, and he named the reasons to think that way.
"Famalicao may have not won in their last four games, but they did score eight times. They played impressive games against Porto, Sporting, Braga and Guimaraes, they like to dominate possession and it will make it difficult for us to try and win," the coach stated.
