The United head coach has cautioned Los Blancos against pursuing the French midfielder.

Manchester United headcoach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has issued fresh warning to Real Madrid over the pursuit of Paul Pogba. The Norwegian manager's words come amid fresh claims that the Spanish club could test the waters for the signature of the Frenchman when the winter transfer market opens in January.

Throughout the summer transfer window, the 26-year-old ex-Juventus star was heavily linked with a move to Santiago Bernabeu with headcoach Zinedine Zidane having openly admitted the quality the player could bring into his team. However, a switch to Spain never materialised as Manchester United maintained its stance that the midfielder was not for sale.

Earlier this month, Los Blancos' club president Florentino Perez explained why Pogba's move fell on rocks while hinting that the pursuit is not over amid the Madrid club's current struggles. Ahead of Manchester United's clash with West Ham on Sunday, the World Cup winner's manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has overruled his sale in January while cautioning suitors about the club's position on midfield star.

"I don't listen to the president of Real Madrid," he said.

"I watched their game at Paris St Germain and it was a big defeat.

"But Paul is working hard here and he is totally committed to Manchester United . I am not worried now - and I will never be worried in the future about Paul Pogba staying here.

"If it all kicks off again with Madrid in January then there will be no worries then either. If we have to live with the speculation again then we will handle it like we did in the summer.

"Paul is going nowhere. He is happy here when he's playing."
