Is it too late to open up a spot for the Puskas award?

Rivalry week in the MLS kicked off with a key game for LAFC and San José, and Mexican striker Carlos Vela stepped up to show his worth with an impressive goal against the Quakes.

Vela held on to a short pass and proceeded to dribble past four players -including San José's goalkeeper Daniel Vega- to score his team's second goal of the evening.

The former Arsenal man led his side to a convincing 4-0 win, but his second effort of the evening was the defining moment of the game for the white and gold side.
