The French manager has dropped a major hint on the potential arrival date of his compatriot at Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid is yet to surrender in its pursuit of Manchester United star Paul Pogba and head coach Zinedine Zidane has suggested that all is not over just yet. The French manager has hinted at a significant breakthrough happening in the coming weeks despite the Red Devils' reluctance to part ways with their prime asset.

Pogba has been a subject of transfer speculation in recent months after the player expressed his desire to move away from Manchester United this summer. While the exit rumors have died down amid reports that the Old Trafford outfit is not interested in selling the midfielder, the players agent Mino Raiola recently rose to stir the saga. According to him, "everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on" and further declared that talks are ongoing for a move away to materialise.

"We are in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are. Everyone within the club, from the manager to the owner, knows Paul's wishes."

Real Madrid and Pogba's former club Juventus are the two clubs believed to be in a two-way battle for the French midfielder and the head coach of the former, Zinedine Zidane, has hinted at his side making a last attempt in their relentless pursuit. According to him, a deal could be in place before the end of August.

"We need to respect everybody, but the only thing I can say from the club is we know what we want to do," Zidane told reporters as per Goal.

"Something could happen before the end of August. We could have some changes."

Meanwhile, Manchester United has reportedly upped its valuation of Paul Pogba from £150 million to at least £180 million in a bid ward-off interest from suitors. Rumors from the English media also suggest that the club is preparing a bumper contract extension for the wantaway midfielder.
