After their narrow loss in the Supercoppa Italiana, AC Milan will hope to get back on track as they face struggling Genoa on Monday, January 21st.

Current form: Genoa vs Milan

After failing to clinch the Supercoppa Italiana  - which likely presented their only chance of silverware this season - AC Milan now turn their attention back to the league as they travel to face Genoa. They will do so without Gonzalo Higuain, who is on his way to Chelsea, but will be taking on a side who have failed to win all but one 13 league games and will be missing key striker Krzysztof Piatek due to suspension.

Piatek, interestingly, has been linked with a move to Milan to replace the outgoing Higuain, and given that he has netted over half of Genoa's 23 goals so far this season, his presence will be surely missed at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris if his move to Italy's fashion capital comes to fruition.

His arrival, though, could certainly do the Diavolo a world of good. Milan themselves have not been in the best form, with just one win in their last five Serie A games and have been struggling lately in front of goal. Currently in seventh spot, they will be desperate to pick up a win here to again relaunch their hopes of securing a top four spot after crashing out early in the Europa League. But will they be able to take advantage of Genoa's less than impressive form, or will they slip-up yet again in their travels?
