Manchester United strolled to a Premier League landmark with Wednesday night's draw with Crystal Palace. The Red Devils failed to break the deadlock against the London outfit and ended up registering a third successive 0-0 draw in all competitions.
A thick fog engulfed the Selhurst Park throughout the night's showdown although that was barely the cause of both United and Palace's inefficiency infront of goal. It was the former who had the most obvious goalscoring chances but were left to rue the missed opportunities at full-time. Close to the end, Dean Henderson - who was given a starting berth in the absence of David De Gea - also pulled off a brilliant save to stop Van Aanholt from handing the visitors another upset.
The night's result put Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side 14 points behind leaders Manchester City who made a positive step towards another Premier League title win by beating Wolves 4-1 on Tuesday night. For their cross-town rivals, Wednesday night's 0-0 draw against the Eagles took their away unbeaten run to 14. They consequently joined Leeds United, Liverpool and Arsenal as the clubs to achieve the feat in the competition's history.

So far, Manchester United have managed the most goalless draws than any other team in the Premier League this season. Their current tally (6) is their joint-most in a single campaign in the competition, along with 2004-05 and 2016-17.
