The French winger conclduded his lengthy stay at Bayern this summer, and he just might have one more chance to prove himself in a top European league.

Franck Ribery spent 12 years at Bayern München. and now, with his contract with the Bavarian side set to expire, the footballer might just get one more chance to shine in one of the best leagues in the world.

According to a report by Kicker, the 36-year-old winger has been handed offers to join teams in Qatar and Australia, but there might be a chance for him to play in the Premier League, since the recently-promoted Sheffield United have also shown interest in the player's services.

With no transfer fee to pay, Ribery would be an easy grab for the Blades. Pending a negotiation to determine his wage, Ribery would have his first experience in the English top flight. In order for this deal to take place, Sheffield United will try to change Ribery's mind about needing to join a top-caliber team, which is the instruction he has given to his agent.

Ribery played 424 games for Bayern, scoring 124 goals and handing out 182 assists. His playing time took a toll due to his constant injuries, but he was widely regarded as quite an influential player for Die Roten during his twelve-year spell in Munich. Added to that, Ribery won nine Bundesliga titles and one UEFA Champions League trophy with the German giants, among many accolades.

Joining Sheffield United would be a fitting end to his prosperous career, but let's wait and see what the summer transfer window holds in store for the 2006 FIFA World Cup runner up with France.
