The Gunners are looking to secure the transfer of the Leeds United star with Barcelona stalling in their pursuit.

Arsenal are in advanced talks with Leeds to sign their winger Raphinha this summer. The Gunners have reportedly scheduled a fresh meeting with the Premier League side to speed up negotiations with Barcelona's interest in the player cooling down in recent weeks.

It is no secret that Raphinha will be leaving Elland Road after helping the Peacocks survive relegation last season. Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Arsenal and Barcelona are also said to be keeping tabs on the player, with a host of them expected to table a concrete offer for the attacker in the coming weeks. In hindsight, Barca were speculated to be leading the pack for the signature of the 25-year-old after agreeing verbal terms with him.

However, the interest of the Catalans have cooled down a bit, especially after it emerged that Leeds will take not less than $80M (£65M). As a result, Arsenal have swooped in, and are looking to capitalise on the impasse to recruit Raphinha for their project next season. According to Sky Sports, the Gunners have set a meeting with Leeds to discuss the possibility of signing the Brazilian, having already completed a move for his compatriot Gabriel Jesus from Man City.

Meanwhile, Leeds are already preparing for life without their star man. As per a report by The Athletic, they will look to replace Raphinha by signing Club Brugge's Charles de Ketelaere. The 21-year-old Belgian is on reportedly on the radar of AC Milan as well.
