The Portland Timbers visit Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colo., on Thursday, Nov. 25, to face the No.1 seeded Colorado Rapids in a Western Conference semifinal. The Colorado Rapids and Portland Timbers meet in the first Thanksgiving Day match in MLS history. The MLS Cup Playoffs game will broadcast live on Fox Network and Fox Deportes in the USA. The game will also stream live on Fox Sports App and Foxsports.com.

Gio Savarese’s Timbers are coming off a 3-1 home win against Minnesota United in the first round of playoffs. Attacking midfielder Sebastian Blanco led the comeback win with an early goal in the first half to take the lead and another to secure their progression to the MLS Cup Playoffs Western Conference semifinal game.

Now, Portland faces a Colorado Rapids side that enjoyed a bye week for finishing first in the Western Conference regular season. The Rapids beat and drew against the Timbers in the regular season. On Sept. 15, Colorado’s Michael Barrios scored a go-ahead goal in the 87^th minute, but Blanco equalized in added time despite the Timbers being a man down. Portland was not so lucky the next time around, when Colorado won 2-0 at home on Oct. 23.

Colorado is undefeated at home since their home-opening 3-1 loss against Austin FC on April 24. In response, the Rapids won nine games and drew seven others. On the other hand, Timbers come in with a 2-3 record in their last five away matches.
