The German side will not be able to field some of their top footballers against the Hungarian side as they battle to reach the next stage of the UEFA Euro.

Germany took a huge step forward in their quest to reach the next stage of the UEFA Euro, but their path to the KO matches may not be as easy as initially planned, as coach Joachim Löw will be forced to play against Hungary without some of their most influential players.

Earlier today, reports coming in from Die Mannschaft's camp spoke about four players being left out of the squad that will face Hungary. Those reports were confirmed after two of those footballers missed Monday's training session and two more were taken care of by the team's medical staff.

The players in question are none other than Ilkay Gündogan, Thomas Müller, Mats Hummels, and Lucas Klostermann, who have all been subbed off during the team's games against France and Portugal with different levels of complication to their injuries.

The worst case for these players has to be that of Thomas Müller, who will miss Wednesday's game due to a problem to one of his kneecaps. Müller will be left out of the last group stage game and he will also be sidelined from the Round of 16 clash if Die Mannschaft makes it through.

As for Hummels, Klostermann, and Gündogan, all three footballers have been left out of the team's training sessions until further notice due to muscular problems. Their future in the competition will be sorted out once Germany seal their spot in the next round, if that ended up happening altogether.

Right now, the Germans are second behind France in Group F with three points. While playing against Hungary on Matchday 3 could be a blessing in disguise, any slip-up could see them drop to third and wait for all games to be played before they can book tickets for the next round, or even being eliminated after just three matches if things do not go their way.
