On the other hand, NJ/NY Gotham FC is looking to get off to a good start in the 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup. Gotham FC is one of the two teams that has not played a game yet, along with OL Reign.
Both sides will have players missing for this matchup due to the FIFA international window. The Pride will be without Alex Morgan, Gunnhildur Jonsdottir and Erin McLeod. Marta will be available as she was on Saturday following Brazil's camp cancellation. On the flipside, Gotham FC will be without Carli Lloyd, Midge Purce, Evelyne Viens and Kailen Sheridan, who is recovering from a quad injury.
Given that the two top teams in each division qualify to the 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup final, Orlando needs to make up for the two points they missed out on against Racing Louisville on Wednesday with a win over Gotham FC.
