Sevilla and Bayern München kicked off the international activity for the 2020-21 season, and they did so with a match to remember in the 2020 UEFA Super Cup that was decided by a sole mistake.
The Spanish side had taken the lead over Die Roten during the first minutes of the clash, but a stunning play by Robert Lewandowski ended up giving Bayern the equalizer thanks to Leon Goretzka's well-placed shot.
Los Hispalenses took the game to extra time, and when the clash seemed to be heading to a penalty shootout, Diego Carlos failed to communicate with his goalkeeper and sent the ball to a corner kick. After the corner was taken, David Alaba came close to scoring a massive goal, but Bono's unfortunate attempt to clear the ball ended up finding Javi Martínez's head, who sent it to the back of the net.
Have a look at Bono's mistake that paved the way for Bayern's win (Image might be geo-restricted).

While Sevilla sitll had time to equalize, Bayern dominated the ball for as long as possible to prevent any further damage. Is this the start of a new era of dominance for Bayern? Let's wait and see how the season unfolds!
