Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has once again demonstrated his class, this time winning the hearts of everyone after writing a response letter to a young Man United fan who plead with the Liverpool boss to lose games.
Daragh Curley, the 10-year-old Red Devils supporter, recently sent a letter to the Reds boss due to the Merseyside giants’ incredible form this season. As part of a school assignment, the kid wrote to the German boss asking him to throw upcoming games so that they do not break the unbeaten run record nor win the title.
With 17 consecutive English top-flight wins under their belt, the Reds are one victory away from the longest-winning streak in the competition’s history. Furthermore, the club could be on track to complete the entire season unbeaten and emulate – and eventually surpass – Arsene Wenger’s Invincibles.
Unhappy with what he is witnessing, little Daragh wrote: "Liverpool are winning too many games. If you win nine more games then you have the best unbeaten run in English football. Being a United fan that is very sad.
"So the next time Liverpool play, please make them lose. You should just let the other team score. I hope I have convinced you to not win the league or any other match ever again."
In a touching move, the German boss took the time to reply to the 10-year-old. While the Liverpool boss understandably could not accept the young fan’s wish, he calmly explained why and went on to praise Curley for being a loyal supporter of Man United.
"Unfortunately, on this occasion I cannot grant your request, not through choice anyway," Klopp’s response letter read.
"As much as you want Liverpool to lose, it is my job to do everything that I can to help Liverpool to win as there are millions of people around the world who want that to happen so I really do not want to let them down.

"I can safely say that one thing that will not change is your passion for football and for your club. Manchester United are lucky to have you.
"Although our clubs are great rivals we also share a great respect for one another. This, to me, is what football is all about."
BBC managed to catch up with the child’s parents who admitted to being shocked at receiving a registered letter at the post office. When they told lil Daragh, the boy’s reponse was: “oh it’s Jurgen Klopp”.
"My wife Tricia was up in the local post office/shop and she was told that there was a registered letter there for Daragh Curley," Mr Curley told the BBC .
"She was wondering who would be sending Daragh a registered letter, but when she mentioned it to Daragh he said 'oh it's Jurgen Klopp'. And it actually was Jurgen Klopp!"
Liverpool will be in action in the league this midweek. Salah and Co. will be looking to bounce back from their recent defeat in the Champions League, losing 1-0 at Atletico in the first leg of their round of 16 tie.
