Speaking ahead of this weekend's clash against Lille, coach Thomas Tuchel shared his views on Edinson Cavani's situation.

It seems that Edinson Cavani's future is further away from PSG, but even if the player seems to be ready to leave Paris, his destination is still unknown.

PSG's coach Thomas Tuchel detailed how Cavani and Layvin Kurzawa will not be called up to play for Les Parisiens until their transfer situation is sorted out.

"Cavani and Kurzawa are still our players, but their situation remains unclear, that's why we made the decision not to take them with the group. They need to sort things out and handle their own stuff," Tuchel said.

Tuchel admitted that Cavani's deal with Atlético is close to being sealed, but since he has not signed with the Spanish side, the chances of watching him play for either Chelsea or Manchester United are still on the table.

"He trained with us, he is not having any physical problems, but the situation with the other club is unclear, and he will not make the trip because of that," Tuchel added.

Cavani has pushed for a transfer away from PSG this winter, but with the window closing next week, it seems that the Uruguayan's desire may not be satisfied after all.
