Baby No. 1 is on the way for the World Cup winner and her husband!

United States women's football team star Alex Morgan has revealed that she is pregnant. The 30-year-old striker announced on Wednesday that she and her partner Servando Carrasco are expecting a baby girl in April next year.

Alex Morgan was an integral member of Coach Jill Ellis' setup that won the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France, finishing the competition with the Silver Boot. Following her impressive feat this summer, the Orlando Pride forward was adjudged the first-runner up for the 2019 Best FIFA Women's Player of the Year honor.

On Monday, she was shortlisted alongside 19 other players by France Football magazine to contest for this year's Women's Ballon d'Or. Now, the good news has been multiplied with the American striker confirming that she and her husband - a midfielder for LA Galaxy - will be welcoming their first child next next year.

"Newest member of the Carrasco family, coming soon," Morgan tweeted with an image of her with her husband.

The arrival of her daughter is due three months before the USWNT departs to feature in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. However, she is yet to confirm or withdraw her participation.
