A tempting cash-plus-player deal has been offered to the Gunners to see one of their best players from last season leaving the club.

Arsenal could see one of their best players from last season leaving the club, as Unai Emery's side has been tempted by AC Milan with an offer they could find hard to refuse.

A report by Goal Italy suggests that Marco Giampaolo, recently appointed as AC Milan's boss, is keen on teaming up once again with a former player of his: Lucas Torreira. The former Sampdoria midfielder was key to Arsenal's run during the 2018-19 season, playing 50 games in all comps for the Gunners.

Arsenal have named a $44M asking price for the midfielder, and while it seems like a feasible amount to pay, AC Milan is willing to offer one of two players to lower the cost of Torreira's transfer. Those players are Franck Kessie and Ricardo Rodríguez.

The Ivory Coast midfielder has failed to make an immediate impact with the rossoneri since joining them in 2017, even after 96 games and 12 goals scored. Meanwhile, Swiss left back Rodríguez has played 88 games for the rossoneri since his 2017 move from Wolfsburg.

Unai Emery has not been shy about sharing details of Arsenal's precarious financial situation, which could force them to sell one of the best footballers, even after just one year of his arrival. While negotiations seem to be in the earlier stages, the possibility of watching the South American ace leave is real, with the only thing left to be determined being the amount of cash the rossoneri will have to pay for his services.
