One more option looms in the horizon for Barcelona if their intentions to sign Neymar are real after all.

Neymar's possible return to Camp Nou could generate a tug of war between the team's bosses and coach, since PSG could pave the way for the Brazilian's second stint in La Liga if Barcelona offers them a cash plus player deal.

Reports by both As and Marca reveal that PSG execs are OK with the idea of watching Neymar leave, but that doesn't mean that they will give him a free pass to do so. With that in mind, PSG's Sporting Director Leonardo and coach Thomas Tuchel have asked one specific player to be included in any deal involving Neymar: Ivan Rakitic.

The Croatian midfielder was a transfer target for Les Parisiens last season, but the promise of a contract extension and Ernesto Valverde's request to keep him around brought all negotiations to a halt. The aforementioned contract extension never came, and the player's role with the team was brought under serious questioning during the last stages of the season, where Barcelona fell apart against Liverpool and Valencia in their attempt to win yet another treble.

Now, PSG's intentions to sign Rakitic would include a hefty contract and their blessing to begin negotiations for the Brazilian ace, but a decision of the sort would see Barcelona execs entering a tug of war against their own boss, who has repeatedly claimed Rakitic to be a key player in his team.

PSG has already plotted another scenario to let Neymar leave, and it also involves one of Barcelona's finest footballers. Nevertheless, their first option to boost their squad is the addition of the 2018 FIFA World Cup runner up. Only time will tell if both parties reach an agreement on this matter.
