Contrary to the reports, the deal is far from being completed.

Manchester United and Crystal Palace are yet to reach an agreement for the signing of England full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The report is contrary to claims that the two clubs have finally made a breakthrough in negotiations on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old England defender has been a subject of transfer speculation this summer following a stellar season with the Eagles. His outstanding form aided Palace to secure 16 cleansheets in his 36 appearances, a feat coupled with other impressive stats that successfully landed him his side's Player of the Season award.

Having been identified as the ideal candidate to fix Manchester United's shortcoming at the right back position, the Red Devils reportedly had two initial bids for Wan-Bissaka rejected. However, on Wednesday, Daily Record stated that the Old Trafford outfit has finally met Crystal Palace's 55 million pound valuation of the starlet.

Contrary to the news, Daily Mail has reported that the two clubs are still locked in talks. The player is believed to be keen on a move and, as a result, both sides are expected to reach a common ground soon.

Should the deal go through, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is in line to become the most-expensive full-back in the history of world football. The defender is currently on international duty with England at the ongoing U-21 Euros and is not expected to complete the move until after the campaign.
