Too risky!

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has revealed that his teammates more often than not try to stay away from Argentine defender Marcos Rojo in training. The reason revolves around the 29-year-old's reputation of diving into challenges recklessly.

Rojo joined the Red Devils in 2014 after impressing for both Sporting C.P. and the Argentina national team. However, the centre back has failed to fully adapt to life in the English Premier League and has seen his career hampered by recurrent injuries.

In his five-year spell at Old Trafford, Rojo has made 112 appearance across all competitions for Manchester United and has received the yellow card on 26 occasions. Interestingly, despite being noted for lunging into tackles, the ex-Spartak Moscow and Sporting defender has never been sent off for the Red Devils.

Speaking to Soccer AM on why no player goes near the center back, Luke Shaw said: "Honestly, no-one goes near him [Rojo] in training.

"He's the sort of tough cookie in the team.

"But it's just one of them, you've just got to allow it because it's the way he is.

"But people like that aggression, it's sometimes needed – but not as aggressive as that. But he's a nice one to have on your team.

"In training, he's probably on the floor 90% of the time, slide tackling everyone with his studs up, so everyone knows to stay away from him."
