The Liverpool defender was quick to taunt the Spaniard after their 3-2 UEFA Nations League victory.

Dejan Lovren's recent feud with Sergio Ramos appears to be nowhere near an end, as the Croatian center-back aimed another shot at the fellow defender. His latest remarks against the Real Madrid star came after his country's dramatic win over Spain in the UEFA Nations League.

Zlatko Dalic's men hosted La Furia Roja in a do-or-die clash, knowing anything but a victory would get them relegated from League A. Having lost 6-0 in their previous encounter, there was an extra incentive for the Vatreni to win.

And win, they did. The 2018 World Cup runner-up scored a stoppage-time winner to grab all three points and keep their UEFA Nations League hopes alive. For Luis Enrique's men, they might have just lost their chance at topping the group, and Lovren was quick to rub it in after the final whistle.

The 29-year-old was caught celebrating on Instagram live when he aimed a taunt at Ramos. The Metro quotes the Liverpool man as saying: "Haha! 3-2! Go ahead and talk now buddy. Buddy! They are a bunch of p******."

Lovren continued the following day, sending out a "good morning, Croatia" post on Instagram. To no one's surprise, the picture was of him winning ahead against -- surprise, surprise -- Ramos.

The Anfield man's spat with the Blancos skipper dates back to when the two crossed paths in last season's Champions League final. The Spaniard was involved in a collision with Mohamed Salah in that game that left the Egyptian with a dislocated shoulder, with many pointing to that incident as the true reason for Dejan's feud.

The Croatian also recently stated that he makes fewer mistakes than the 2010 World Cup winner, arguing that Cristiano Ronaldo's amazing goalscoring record saves the Spaniard's blushes. This remark was brought to the Furia Roja captain prior to the 3-2 loss, with the 32-year-old insisting he would not reply to Lovren while aiming a slight dig back in his direction.

"I've said it many times, I don't know if these things are said out of frustration or for other reasons," the Spanish Primera Division center-back said.

"I'm not going to answer Lovren or whoever wants to win three front pages or start the news bulletin. Everyone wins things for himself on the pitch."

There is no end in sight for this spat, but given the permutations in Group 4, one of these two defenders will get the last laugh. With Croatia playing England in their final game, a triumph at Wembley would see the Vatreni leapfrog Ramos and Co. in the standing. A draw or loss, however, would hand Lovren and Co. the embarrassment of relegation to League B.
