A late goal for the Vatreni side earned Croatia a much-deserved home win against La Roja.

Spain seemed to have everything under control...then David De Gea couldn't keep a hold on the ball.

Croatia claimed a 3-2 win against Spain in Group A4 of the UEFA Nations League, which keeps a wide open race between these teams and England to make it to the final four teams in this competition.

The FIFA World Cup runners-up survived Spain's surge, which led La Roja to tie the game twice before Tin Jedvaj's final goal.

Andrej Kramaric had given them the lead, which was cancelled by Dani Ceballos' goal. Later, Jedvaj scored his first goal of the evening, but Sergio Ramos transformed yet another penalty for Spain. When things seemed to be over, Jedvaj completed his brace after De Gea failed to get a grip on the ball.

Fans did not forgive De Gea for his mistake, trolling the Spanish goalie viciously. Here are some of their comments and trolls below.

"De Gea with the National Team"

With their loss against Croatia, Spain needs England and the Vatreni to draw their upcoming UNL match. If any of those teams wins, then Spain will be out of the title race. The loser of that game will be relegated to League B of the UEFA Nations League.
