The Polish striker has been linked with a move away from the Bavarian side, but the team execs have other plans regarding their No. 9.

The summer transfer window is open for 11 more days, and Bayern München's execs have taken some interesting steps to keep striker Robert Lewandowski around.

Speaking in a recent interview, Bayern president Uli Hoeness admitted that the team has no interest in letting Lewandowski leave the club, and they have refused to meet with the player's agent, Pini Zahavi, who is seen by many as the key to see the Polish striker joining Real Madrid.

According to Hoeness, their first meeting will take place once the transfer window shuts down.

"He's tried to make an appointment with me four or five times. I told him I will be avalable on September 2 at 14:30," Hoeness said.

Zahavi has been involved in big-money transfers, including Neymar's move to PSG. Bayern's execs seem him as the man that's been pouring honey inside Lewa's ear to try and lure him away to Real Madrid, and they have urged their striker to stop listening to his "advice".

"We are determined to defend our stance. If Lewandowski is able to take the weight off his agent has place on his shoulders, then we'll have Bayern's best signing of the season. His agent is the only thing out of our control right now," Hoeness added.

Lewandowski had a disappointing World Cup with Poland last month, but he is still seen as one of the most effective strikers in Europe. Real Madrid is seen by many as his most-likely destination, but Bayern's refusal to see him leave complicates things for Los Blancos.
